It is truly my lifeline. I find myself talking to God nearly all the time, not out loud mind you because then I would be certifiable.
Yet, I find myself often in dialogue with God about random things throughout my day. Then there's my special prayer time where I lay out specific requests.
Prayer is not just something to do when you have the time - it is absolutely essential to living the life God calls us to.

It's okay to talk to God out loud, and it's okay to be certifiable. Someone once asked me if I died today and a crime scene investigation unit was searching my house and interviewing those who knew me... would they be able to say they were positive that I was a Christian? Would there be enough proof? Would it be without a shadow of a doubt?
I think praying out loud, especially in front of my children, helps them to really see and hear that I have a personal friendship/relationship with Christ.
